You will be pleased to hear that The Reading Regatta Committee has started preparations for the 2021 Reading Amateur Regatta. We hope to be able to organise our Regatta on our usual weekend in the middle of June. The list of racing events is currently under review. Due to the Covid crisis, there is obviously still a lot of uncertainty if Rowing Regattas can be held this year and the Committee will not make a final decision for a while. Please keep an eye on the website and twitter for the latest information.
Reading Amateur Regatta brings exciting rowing to the Thames in Reading. The format of racing will be a buoyed two lane course rowed downstream with starts from stake boats. On Saturday the race distance will be 1500 metres, whilst on Sunday this is reduced to 1000 metres. Read more on the Info Page.
The Regatta will be featuring a range of events. Every year the Regatta welcomes international crews - if you are considering an international trip, please contact us and we will provide help and advice..
The Reading Amateur Regatta Rules are shown on this page and Competitors & Coxes MUST familiarise themselves with the rules. The Regatta is held under British Rowing rules and conforms to the row safe guide, copies of which can be downloaded from: www.britishrowing.org.
