Regatta Stream Stories - Location & Parking


The Reading Amateur Regatta is held on the river Thames, along the Thames promenade, next to Caversham Bridge in Reading.

ACCESS to the Regatta Site for cars & trailers: The access route is from Thames Side Promenade (off Richfield Ave) through the car park behind Reading Rowing Club. (Please note: there is no access to the Regatta Site for any vehicle through the Rivermead Leisure Complex).

CAR PARK ENTRANCE:



PARKING will be charged at £6 per vehicle per day, or £10 for the weekend. Please note: Payment for parking is cashless (Card/Phone) only. Vehicles towing boat trailers or carrying sculling boats will be directed to a designated boat parking area (see Regatta Site Map below).

GATE OPENING TIMES for the Regatta Site: From 7.00am on Saturday and Sunday mornings and closing 2 hours after the last scheduled race of the day.

OUT OF HOURS arrangements for TRAILERS: The Regatta Site will be accessible for trailer parking on Friday afternoon during specific time slots: from 1.00pm until 3.00pm and from 5.00pm until 7.00pm. Only in exeptional circumstances will entry be permitted outside of these times, subject to prior agreement from the site manager (07404671243).
Trailers may be left on site overnight and may be left on site until midday on Monday, however this will be at the owner's risk.

Any Regatta Site access issues should be reported to the Site Manager.
